2024年1月9日、イタリア・ボローニャ大学と筑波大学生命環境系との部局間国際交流協定が新たに締結されました。2024年1月24日には、Lisa Borgatti教授が生命環境系を訪問し、協定締結の記念セレモニーを行いました。生命環境系からは生命地球科学研究群長・中田和人教授、内田太郎教授が参加し、今後の交流拡大について意見交換を行いました。

欧州最古の大学として知られるボローニャ大学はイタリア国内の中で環境防災に関わる技術開発における研究・教育をリードする大学の1つであり、内田教授とBorgatti教授の間で当該分野における研究・学生交流が行われています。協定締結により、ボローニャ大学との環境防災を含め様々な分野の研究・教育が促進され、学術交流における協力関係が一層強化されることが期待されます。

University of Bologna and University of Tsukuba Signed International Exchange Agreement

On January 9, 2024, a new international exchange agreement has concluded between the University of Bologna, Italy and the Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba. On January 24, 2024, Professor Lisa Borgatti visited the Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences, and we held a memorial ceremony. Professor NAKADA Kazuto, Dean of Degree Program in Life and Earth Sciences and Professor UCHIDA Taro participated in the meeting and exchanged opinions on the expansion of future exchange.

The University of Bologna, known as the oldest university in Europe, is one of the leading universities in Italy in terms of research and education in the development of technologies for environmental disaster prevention, and Professor Uchida and Professor Borgatti are conducting research and student exchange in this field. Under this agreement, We look forward to promoting research and education on environmental disaster prevention and other various fields with the University of Bologna and further strengthening cooperation in academic exchange.
