国立台湾大学生物資源農学院長が生命環境系・田中系長を訪問
5月12日、台湾・国立台湾大学生物資源農学院から、Huu-Sheng LUR学院長をはじめとする代表団が生命環境系・田中俊之系長を訪問しました。国立台湾大学と本学はCampus in Campus協定を締結しており全学交流が行われていますが、生命環境系では2015年から生物資源農学院と部局間協定を個別に締結し、同年に生命地球科学研究群生物資源科学学位プログラム・グローバルフードセキュリティコースにおいて国立台湾大学とのダブルディグリープログラムを実施しています。
今回の訪問では、新たな共同研究の可能性を探るべく、生命環境系教員９名（田中俊之系長、理工情報生命学術院・江面浩学術院長、微生物サステナビリティ研究センター・野村暢彦センター長、国際連携持続環境科学専攻・鈴木石根専攻長、桑山秀一教授、UTADA Andrew Shinichi准教授、TOFAEL Ahamed准教授、木下奈都子助教、阿部淳一ピーター助教）が訪問団とのミーティングに参加し、鈴木専攻長、UTADA准教授、TOFAEL准教授、木下助教の計４名が研究内容を紹介するプレゼンテーションを行いました。プレゼンを受け、両大学間では活発な質疑応答が行われました。
今回の訪問を受け、国立台湾大学生物資源農学院と生命環境系との更なる学術交流及び学生交流の深化・拡大が期待されます。
Dean of College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University Visits Dean TANAKA of Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences
On May 12, Dean Huu-Sheng LUR and other delegates from College of Bioresources and Agriculture (CBA) of National Taiwan University (NTU) visited Dean TANAKA Toshiyuki of Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences. NTU and University of Tsukuba have exchanged students/professors and collaborated in university-wide based on Campus in Campus partnership agreement. On the other hand, since 2015 Institute of Life and Environmental Sciences and CBA have started exchange of students and professors individually based on the department-level MoU. In the same year Master’s Program in Agro-Bioresources Science and Technology of Degree Programs in Life and Earth Sciences and CBA have agreed and done the Double Degree Program in Global Food Security.
For future research collaboration, Vice Dean Je-Ruei LIU from the delegation introduced CBA and Chair SUZUKI Iwane of Joint Master’s Degree Program in Sustainability and Environmental Sciences, Associate Professor TOFAEL Ahamed, Associate Professor Andrew S. UTADA, Assistant Professor KINOSHITA Natsuko from UT gave a presentation for research, followed by a fruitful discussion.
We look forward to further exchange and collaboration with College of Bioresources and Agriculture, National Taiwan University in the near future.
